What Satan Knows

If you find this inspiration too long to read, please DO NOT MISS THE FIRST VIDEO BELOW!!!

What Satan knows may KILL us (suicide, murder, overdose, abortions...) What Satan knows can STOP us. What Satan knows can KEEP US HIDDEN. What Satan knows can KEEP US FROM GIVING. What Satan knows can CHAIN US UP. What Satan knows can THRILL us. What Satan knows can make us HAPPY (only for a SEASON). What Satan knows can CRUSH us. What Satan knows can REACH us. What Satan knows can TRICK us. What Satan knows can KEEP US FROM WORSHIPPING. What Satan knows can SPIN us out of control. What Satan knows can get us THROWN OUT (Adam and Eve). What Satan knows can SWALLOW US UP (Jonah). What Satan knows can KEEP US FROM HELPING OTHERS.  What Satan knows can KEEP US FROM TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS. What Satan knows can KEEP US LOST. What Satan knows can KEEP US BLIND. What Satan knows can KEEP US FROM GOD. What Satan knows can KEEP US FROM… What Satan knows can SEND US TO STRAIGHT TO HELL.

If you've ever wondered what Satan knows, read this inspiration and you will find out. I used to think things like this: If I don’t say things out loud, then Satan won’t know. If I don’t tell others about Jesus, then Satan will leave me alone. If I continue to sin heavily, then Satan will pass on by my house... I’m sure I’m not alone in my thinking.

The truth of the matter is this: Satan knows enough to (please see list above). Satan will use anything he can get (his slimy little hands on) to get you to stumble and fall. I say slimy little hands, but Satan’s hands are disguised as nice shiny packages with a big red bow on top. Satan’s hands are as cute as a baby bunny rabit. Satan’s hands taste as good as Hot-fudge Sundays (with sprinkles and gummy bears on top). Satan’s hands are in the best of places (including Christian schools, homes, churches – ESPECIALLY Christian schools, homes, churches)…

Satan knows quite a bit.

Satan knows the Scriptures and he knows how to use them against us.

Satan knows how to entertain us, (and its not with the Scriptures), its more like television, computers, music, drugs, alcohol, gossip, sex…

To be a wise person, one must know and admit that he/she knows very little, and continue searching for the truth! God's Truth!

Many ‘wise’ people search for this knowledge at college, from others, television, from their employers…

But, to be a wise person, and to beat Satan at his ‘game’, then you MUST search for wisdom from God’s Holy Word.

Satan has taken Godly men and women throughout history, and messed with their heads so much, that these Godly men and women fall away from God’s ministry and purpose. If you are a life-time Christian like me, you have seen Godly men and women ON FIRE FOR CHRIST, then slip away to the dark side, haven’t you? I know I have. You could say that he/she wasn’t ‘really saved’ at all, but I know the TRUTH. They were saved and I’d like to think they are still saved (by God’s Amazing Grace – but I can't say for certain – because God gets to decide their fate: Luke 12:4-5).

Satan can and does trick Godly men and women into thinking they are not important, and their service to God is in vain, that they served God in all the wrong ways, that they messed up so bad to not be useful anymore…

Folks, we don’t know it all, and we never will.

Yes, we may have revealed to us many revelations, and yes we may know what it takes for someone to get to Heaven (God’s Amazing Grace - Jesus' Sacrifice). Yes, we may know many hidden ‘secrets’ to keep us from stumbling as often. But COME ON, take your blinders off, if you think for a second you have it all figured out, then you're still BLIND!!! God is in the 'changing of the heart' business (sanctification), so if you don't change as He tells you to, then you are not obeying Him. You are like clay in His hands, but if you have hardened your heart, then he can't mold you anymore!

This is why so many churches are changing, because they are obeying God. For example, clothing. I've often wondered if Jesus were here today, if he would wear jeans and a t-shirt, or a suit and tie. Would Jesus wash feet that has been inside sweaty shoes and colored socks - yes, He probably would, but still, are colored socks and designer shoes necessary? If someone walked into your church with flip-flops on, would you care? Would Jesus?

Apart from God, Satan is more powerful than you! Satan is so powerful that he can take the best of Christians, and trick them into inviting him (Satan) into their minds, bodies... When we invite Satan into our being (by one little sin), then does Satan stay inside until further notice?

I’ve heard and read debates on whether or not a Christian can be demon-possessed. I’m not here to debate this issue. What I am saying is this. Whether we believe Christians can be demon-possessed or not, doesn’t take away the fact that many Christians (I’m definitely included) are heavily tempted, have evil thoughts, and do evil things!

I’m convinced in my heart, mind, and soul that by each of us telling one little white lie, drinking one little beer (if it makes others stumble), whispering one little gossip (which again – we are ALL guilty of sin: Romans 3:23)... then we are opening the door wide open for Satan (click HERE for the inspiration 'The Door').

You may not drink beer, but if you are telling yourself that you NEVER whisper the gossip, then I'm proud of you, because I hear gossip come out of the 'best' of mouths on a daily basis. Is it possible not to gossip or lie? Yes, but ONLY by the Grace of God and by his strength only! Does that give you a free pass to sin, the Apostle Paul says No, No, No! Are there consequences? – You better believe it.

I have seen people leave church faster than ever by being hurt by others. I’ve seen family members not talk to each other for years because of gossip – HOW DARE THEY TALK BEHIND MY BACK, right? AND THEY CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS!

This is where Jesus steps in and tells us that we are ALL guilty of sin, there is NOT one righteous – NO NOT ONE (except Jesus). If we are not humble enough to admit that Satan is smart enough (to do a number on us), then we are in a heap of trouble. Satan is in front of us and ready to devour us like a lion. I Peter 5:8

Keep reading - the best is yet to come!

I know God is still working on me. I know with my writings, from my heart, sending them out to the world, I will stumble and fall right in front of you, which is o.k., because I am convicted by God to do so – and we will stumble and fall.

I believe with all of MY heart that God does NOT leave His children when we fall. I believe that once God adopts us as His child, He carries us the rest of the way. We are not saved by the law or by works (Romans 3:20-24, 6:23) (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16). Or at minimum, I believe when we fall, God rushes over, picks us up, brushes us off, then sends us back out (only to slip and fall again and again... this is WHY we NEED God). God is perfect. We are not; however, we can be ask God to forgive us and He will do so - praise God - thank you Jesus! And, God can and will help us fight temptations, especially if we consume His Holy Word (Psalms 119:11).

With that being said, God does get to decide whether or not we enter Heaven, and not one of us should forget about God’s Amazing Grace (loving the unlovable, forgiving the unforgivable) or spit in His face and curse Him. God does have the power to send you to Hell. 'He brought you into this world, and He can take you back out (sooner than later)'.

God's grace is amazing though! I love Him so much!!! He is there for me every stumbled step of the way. This is why I want to honor Him, why I want to respect Him, why I want to give to Him, why I attend church… because He first loved me! Just as I am – without conditions.

Folks, this is why marriages fall apart everyday, because we put so many conditions on each other.  When a couple finds a way to love unconditionally, then the marriage is headed in the right direction. You can say Billy does this and Billy does that, but ask yourself, are you putting conditions on him? Billy, let me ask you a question, are you running around on your wife, because she is not good enough? Have you put conditions on her? She should do this or that, look this way or that way, if she would just quit nagging... Billy if you don't stop cheating, I'm going to recommend to your 'ball and chain' that she hit you with a cast-iron skillet, so be happy with what you have! She loves your sorry self.

Churches and Christians better wise up and start STRIVING to live like Christ, start softening your heart so God can mold you, and start loving others (even the least of these) without putting conditions on your love (clothing, money, drug-addicted, the divorcee, the mentally challenged, the drunkard, the homeless...

Folks listen, I’m not trying to step on your religion. I am only doing what God have me do.

I do know this, it all comes down to God being more POWERFUL and SMARTER than SATAN.

Last night I found myself depressed again.

When Satan reaches me, it's usually with depression and tiredness, as I'm sure with many of you, right?

Last night, I read a verse in Proverbs that ALMOST put me into chains again. I almost pulled the plug on my writing (even the book ‘I Am Free Indeed’).

Proverbs 10:19 “When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.”

Surely, God is not speaking to those that use words to reach lost souls for Jesus Christ. Yes, in my many words, I sin, its hard not to sin, but SURELY, God is speaking about the wicked. Right? Maybe I should choose my words carefully. Less words are better. God's Holy Words are the BEST, so start reading, and I'll do the same.

As soon as I read this verse, my head began spinning, because most of my inspirations are long winded. Should I remain silent? Was this website of inspirations in vain? Should I hold my tongue (is that even possible)?

Psychologists have told me that I suffer from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). When a thought appears in my head, it weighs HEAVILY on my heart to the point of stress, fear… but if we are honest, don’t we all consider what God says and let it weigh heavily on my hearts?

Then I tried hard to think about positive things like: well Pastor Billy Graham spoke many words, Jesus did, David wrote Psalms for crying out loud… then I thought to myself - who am I? I’m not a Billy Graham, David, or Jesus. I’m only a convicted felon, a low-life, an ex-drug user… Then I thought about Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter… they all wrote, they all spoke, they did not hold their tongues, because Jesus told them to go speak… maybe its just disciples and preachers who are to speak many words… then I thought about teachers and those that inspire us with their many words… what about them? should I continue on?  should I quit writing? should I… should I… doubt, doubt, doubt...?

But, as with Pastor Billy Graham, I am certain with all his many words, he sinned.

Folks, Satan knows more than we give him credit. He knows our hearts, minds, and our spirtiual condition. He knows how to use the Scriptures against us, to the point of quitting, to the point of fighting with each other, to the point of having a church on every other street corner (preaching something different).

I spent a good hour in depression toiling over my thoughts, praying hard, asking God for help, asking for forgiveness, asking for the Holy Spirit to speak to me directly.

This is what God told me (I love it when God tells me what to do).

I didn’t stop at that verse above, I kept on ‘trucking’ through the Scripture, maybe another verse would reverse my thinking… it didn’t… I read a verse that said if you work hard then your barns would be overflowing… more doubt… am I not living right? (because I don’t have a barn that is overflowing… should I not give my time and resources away… should I this…should I that…?

Then the voice of TRUTH told me a different story, the voice of TRUTH said do not be afraid… was I was letting Satan trick me... did God really want me to write less? (Please note: shortly after I wrote this inspiration, my inspirations became MUCH SHORTER!!!)

I put the Bible down and tried to go to sleep, with my mind spinning. I couldn’t rest. I turned the light back on, called for my wife Jessica, and asked her to sit with me as I read from a book titled “Cast of Characters” by Max Lucado. A co-worker let me borrow the book and the first chapter was about Joseph (Jesus’ step-dad).

It amazes me when God sends to me - what I need to hear - when I need to hear it. The entire chapter discussed Joseph and his thoughts (and his possible doubts, fears..). What was Joseph thinking when Mary was delivering baby Jesus?

Max points out that the Bible only gives us small glimpses, small pictures. Joseph is discussed before the birth of Christ heavily, but then ‘drops off’ from the Bible (with the exception of Jesus age 12), Joseph is no longer discussed.

This is why we need to read the entire Bible for ourselves, because I thought about what Jesus said in all of my turmoil, heart-ache, depression. Jesus said to sell our things and give to the poor, He said to not store up our treasures on Earth, He said to not hide our candles, He told us to go out to all nations and spread the good news.

In the chapter I read my wife, I came to the following paragraphs from Max Lucado. I know this inspiration is getting long, but I hope you read the book ‘Cast of Characters’. Max Lucado is an excellent writer, and has inspired me often, BECAUSE he never let Satan stop him from writing.

Again the following is from the book "Cast of Characters" by Max Lucado:

“You’ve stood where Joseph stood. Caught between what God says and what makes sense. You’ve done what he told you to do only to wonder if it was him speaking in the first place. You’ve stared into the sky blackened with doubt. And you’ve asked what Joseph asked.”

“Each of us knows what it’s like to search the night for light. Not outside a stable, but perhaps outside an emergency room. On the gravel of a road-side. On the manicured grass of a cemetery. We’ve asked our questions. We questioned God’s plan. And we’ve wondered why God does what he does.”

“The Bethlehem sky is not the first to hear the pleadings of a confused pilgrim.”

“If you are asking what Joseph asked, let me urge you to do what Joseph did. Obey. That’s what he did. He obeyed. He obeyed when the angel called. He obeyed when Mary explained. He obeyed when God sent. He was obedient to God. He was obedient when the sky was bright. He was obedient when the sky was dark.”

“He didn’t let his confusion disrupt his obedience. He didn’t know everything. But he did what he knew. He shut down his business, packed up his family, and went to another country. Why? Because that’s what God said to do.”

“What about you? Just like Joseph, you can’t see the whole picture. Just like Joseph your task is to see what Jesus has brought to your part of your world. And just like Joseph you have a choice: to obey or disobey. Because Joseph obeyed, God used him to change the world. Can he do the same with you?”

“God still looks for Josephs today. Men and women who believe that God is not through with this world. Common people who serve an uncommon God.”

“Will you be that kind of person? Will you serve… even when you don’t understand?”

“No, the Bethlehem sky is not the first to hear the pleadings of an honest heart, nor the last. And perhaps God didn’t answer every question for Joseph. But he answered the most important one. “Are you still with me, God?” And through the first cries of the God-child the answer came. “Yes. Yes, Joseph. I’m with you.”

“There are many questions about the Bible that we won’t be able to answer until we get home. Many knotholes and snapshots. Many times we will muse, “I wonder…”

“But in our wonderings, there are some questions we never need to ask. Does God care? Do we matter to God? Does he still love his children?”

“Through the small face of the stable-born baby, he says yes.”

“Yes, your sins are forgiven.”

“Yes, your name is written in heaven.”

“Yes, death has been defeated.”

“And, yes, God has entered your world.”

“Immanuel. God with us.”
