Are you trying to sell your home (in today’s economy)?

You better start praying ‘hard’.

I couldn’t find statistics on how many homes are for sell in the US right now, because you can’t ‘google’ the statistics, because too many realtors have a monopoly on the ‘googling’ – all that pops up are the many realtors that are trying to sell homes. None-the-less, if you drive around your city, each street seems to be flooded with signs saying HOME – FOR SALE.

BusinessWeek published an article ‘Too Many Realtors’. According to BusinessWeek, there are 135 million people in America, who are licensed realtors, trying to sell homes for a living. “Bureau of Labor Statistics says there are only 1.06 million people employed in motor vehicle and parts manufacturing.” “The housing boom sucked in all kinds of people who used to work in other fields. Trouble is, very few have left.”

Truth is, its hard to sell anything right now in today’s economy. People are losing jobs faster than they are finding them. Companies are leaving the U.S… Companies are closing their doors… I imagine the only thing selling right now is, well, food and toilet paper… along with video games, music, and movies (of course). 

I have worked in sales most of my life, mostly in the Corporate office. To be a great sales person, you must convince the consumer that your product is the best, best value, quality, practicality, beauty… you must convince the consumer that they just can’t live without it.

I’ve hosted many garage sales and I’ve tried to sell items at Flea Markets. Its not too hard to sell things here, that is, if you willing to just ‘give’ things away. If you put high prices on your items (at garage sale & bargain shops), you WILL receive dirty looks or be laughed at. It is a good way to make a few extra dollars, but don’t expect to make a living at it.  If you do try to make a living at it, then you must mark your junky items high, because you need to, to not only make the money, but you must present your items with having – high VALUE.

If you have an antique radio for sale, then you don’t want to put a price tag of $2 on it. Most people will think your radio doesn’t work. You must mark it high so the consumer will think its of high – VALUE, and then they will WANT it. People buy what they WANT!!!

If you think selling your home is difficult, then I challenge you to sell Heaven. Heaven is of HIGH VALUE, but marked down to a price tag of – FREE.

It sounds easy to sell Heaven for FREE, but without seeing it, touching it, ‘plugging it in’, smelling it… its not that easy at all… because its hard to see VALUE in something that is FREE. Which may be the reason why us Christians have a hard time BELIEVING that HEAVEN is TRULY FREE for us.

I know first hand, that selling Heaven if hard to do, and I am an EXCELLENT sales person. I try my hardest each and every day to SELL Heaven, and I’ve tried almost everything you could think of.

In this inspiration, I will tell you HOW you (YES, YOU) can sell Heaven!!!  For FREE!!!

It is easy for me to sell Heaven now, but I have been through the ringer trying to find good ways to do so.

First, let me tell you what does NOT work.

1. Knocking on doors. Bottom line: Americans DO NOT TRUST door salesmen/women. Blame it on Kirby salesmen, Jahovah Witness (which I admire there efforts!!!), magazine salesmen (who take your money and never give you the magazine – SCAM!!! I know, I did that too for a couple of weeks).  Truth of the matter is: door-to-door sales is an untrusted business, and without a permit, you could be arrested!!!
2. Inviting people into your home. Each Friday for the past several months, Jessica and I have handed out flyers trying to get neighbors, friends, and co-workers to come to a FREE DINNER to watch a 30 minute (cool) video about Jesus. The video might have something to do with it, but I don’t think so, because even my closest friends ‘couldn’t make it’ when I tried really hard to guilt them into it and BEGGED them. Truth of the matter is this: we are living in different times, the TupperWare party days (of fun) are over :o( BOTTOM LINE: People are too busy: to listen, to care, too wrapped up in their own lives… time is just too hard to come by these days, because most people work – ALL OF THE TIME (2 – 3 jobs). And when they’re not working, they are TIRED!!!
3. Inviting people to church – sometimes this works. Too busy, too tired, too guilted…
4. Never showing a weakness. People will not listen to you about God unless you tell them how God fixed you. Yes, tell them HOW AMAZING GOD IS, but tell them WHY God is Amazing to YOU!!! Start being normal. Bottom line: Stop being PERFECT, because you’re NEVER gonna be PERFECT until you get to HEAVEN!!!
5. FEARING people into it. People are too decensitized by television and real life. You may be able to FEAR someone into saying the salvation prayer, but you can’t FEAR them into FOLLOWING Jesus. David in Psalms said that he walked in God’s Truth ONLY after David realized that God loved him UNCONDITIONALLY. (without conditions = FREE: Ephesians 2:8-9)
6. GUILT – never worked for a FREE SPIRIT like me. I just dodged people that made me feel guilty… I moved to Massachusetts, Florida, California, Indiana… Jesus came to SET US FREE INDEED, NOT TO GUILT US!!! John 3:17
7. Do I really need a 7?

Sooooo, what works? How do we 'sell' Jesus – The most amazing – best friend – Savior  – peace maker – fear taker – soul soother – truth lover – miracle worker – heart healer – great physician – best friend… FOR FREE???!!!

Jesus is TRULY One of a kind, The highest value… that most people don’t even want – FOR FREE!!!  To a life-time Christian like me, it truly seems unreal. People just don’t want Jesus! The love of my LIFE, my deliverer…!!! I was always scared of losing my salvation for many years, then I noticed that most people curse God, don’t want nothing to do with Him, and flat-out WORSHIP SATAN instead… they would rather go to HELL, than to love Jesus and go to HEAVEN – FOR FREE!!!  WHY???!!! Why is worshipping Satan more popular than worshipping Jesus – when Jesus has more powers than Satan. Jesus is more LOVING..., DIED FOR US (each one of us - WITHOUT conditions!!!)

I have debated, over-analyed, then re-analyzed this WHY question for years…

I have found many reasons WHY!!!!

1. Most people believe (because they were taught well) that you must go to boring old church to get to Heaven. I don’t say boring to be disrespectful, but to most people, church IS BORING, they don’t know the songs, they don’t have the ‘right’ clothes, they don’t speak the right ‘Christian’ language, they can’t get past the devouring of the gossip, backstabbing (click HERE), money-hungry (not all churches),… to see and to find the JOYS of Jesus Christ. It has only been recently that we are CHANGING church!!! Adding music people can joyfully sing to, the arm raising, toe tapping… LIVELY music (to keep us awake), we are just now adding clapping and exciting worship (well, many churches), we are just now losing the ties (which is a whole inspiration on its own – there is absolutely NO TRUST when it comes to wearing TIES – and I believe with my whole heart that JESUS WOULD NOT WEAR A TIE IF HE WERE HERE TODAY (EVEN OUT OF RESPECT)!!!!!!! The tie is a MAN MADE, STUPID IDEA, to just look cleaned up and acceptable!!! DUMB, DUMB, DUMB IDEA - A NOOSE AROUND OUR NECKS - WHO CAME UP WITH THAT 'BRIGHT' IDEA???  PREACHERS – PLEASE LOSE THE TIES!!!!! IF you do, I assure you that you will not receive the wrath of God, and these younger folks like me (37) – might be able to TRUST the words that come out of your mouth!!!!!  Ladies (and some men), keep the FOOD COMING, because it might be the only thing that is keeping folks at church (that and the GREAT KID'S MINISTRIES), besides the giving of the money and the food pantries going to the poor and to missions!!! *** If your church doesn’t have a food pantry (food given FREELY to the poor (without worrying about them ripping you off), then you need to get one!!! 

Yes, I know about the fellowship, the church being the Bride of Christ, the joy from other Christians (or rather lack there of), but the average LOST person does NOT know who the REAL JESUS is!!! And it is KILLING ME INSIDE!!!

YES, Jesus is coming back for His bride, but I often wonder if He’s talking about what we call CHURCH today – to be His bride. God specifically says that we ourselves, as individuals are the temples of Christ, and where two or more are gathered in His name, there is also is (but there's power in numbers - click HERE), so there’s even debate on whether we need an airconditioned, expensive, waiste of good money (in most people’s eyes – especially the ones that are in need of that money – like the hungry!!!!!) Folks, again, YOU BEST ADD A FOOD ‘PANTRY’ – if you know what’s BIBLICAL!!!

2. Do I need a two – YES!!! What works to sell Jesus and Heaven – Remember? Stay with me now, I know you’re trying to get your breathe back. But if someone doesn’t say this stuff OUT LOUD, then we CAN’T fix the PROBLEM can we???!!!  I believe the reason most churches are changing at all, is because they are losing their older people and they are hurting for membership, money… and people are wising up to your sales tactics and moving on to different churches, to the churches with the TRUE message of JESUS CHRIST. I have heard tons of grumbling and gossip about ‘the church hoppers’, but IT’S TRULY HARD TO FIND A CHURCH THAT DOESN'T BACK-BITE & DEVOUR EACH OTHER (click HERE), but I found one SO KEEP SEARCHING, or stay where you are (if you're not a gossiper, so you can make a difference by teaching others!!!) 

3.    O.k. – Moving on. I just get so mad and disappointed when most lost people connect Jesus with all of the stupid things we associate Jesus with (politics, religion, suits, gossip, money…)!!! Which is what my 30 minute movie is about. ‘H20 – A Journey of Faith – Poluted’ – Disconnecting Jesus from all of the CRAP (yes, I said CRAP… CRAP, CRAP, CRAP is what we are TEACHING!!!) 4.    O.k. – Really, I’m moving on. Yard work – FOR FREE!  You can badger your neighbors about church and Jesus. You can live the perfect example of Jesus – NOT!!!  You can put your Jesus fish on the back of your car and place a cross in your front yard with lights on it (like me)… but until you are WILLING to go to your neighbor’s house and SERVE them (not just food only). Serve them like Jesus suggested: TIME, LISTENING (that means little talking on your part – which is extremely hard for me to do!), PRAYING for them, TIME, raking their leaves, cleaning their gutters, mowing, window cleaning, car washing (without patting yourself on the back – again, extremely hard), TIME, building relationships (which is the NUMBER ONE sales technique on the market) build that relationship before you speak and try to tell them WHO Jesus is! Most folks in America already know the name of Jesus, they’ve just NEVER seen him – especially by those that call themselves Christians. I am so thankful that Jesus came to earth. Not only was He our Savior, but He SHOWED US HOW TO LIVE!!! Feed people!!! (when you go to throw your left-overs away, think about the people that don’t have much FOOD!!! Yes, there are MANY in your CITY, in your NEIGHBORHOODS (if not in your neighborhoods, then you probably need to move – that’s if you can sell your houses!!!) SERVE them FIRST, talk SECOND!!! They will ask you about church when you let your light shine, but please tell them ABOUT JESUS first, then tell them about YOUR CHURCH!!!

5.    Speak the TRUTH (you can find it by reading the RED WORDS in the Bible.)

6.    Jesus does tell us about the RULES, LAWS, SINS when you start reading RED, but take the TIME to FINISH the story (or are you too busy for God too?). He brings all of the RULES and LAWS down to ONE – LOVE!!! He brings all of the SINS down to a solution – JESUS + CROSS + BELIEVING John 3:16!!!!

7.    Focus on LOVE, GOD'S AMAZING GRACE (because that is how we are saved, not by law or works: Romans 3:20-24, 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9), then tell them about NOT FLEEING FROM THEIR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST (MATTHEW 24:9-13). And, you better NOT be telling them that there is more than one way to Heaven.  You may be telling me that LOVE is not the only thing that is important and YOU ARE CORRECT!!! However, most sinners and lost people ALREADY KNOW THE LAWS & RULES!!! They’ve been taught what’s right and wrong since BIRTH!!!  But, what they haven’t seen is TRUE LOVE – AND ITS NOT UNTIL THEY KNOW THE LOVE OF GOD IS UNCONDITIONAL, that THEY KNOW THEY KNOW THAT THEY KNOW – GET IT???!!!  King David tells us in Psalms that he did not walk in God's truth until he learned that God's love is UNCONDITIONAL. WE HAVE ENOUGH RULES TO CHOKE US TO DEATH... YES, WE KNOW THEY ARE FOR OUR SAFETY, BUT WE ALSO KNOW THAT IF WE CAN'T WIN THE BATTLES OF TEMPTATION (LIKE ADDICTION) THEN... CLICK HERE! BUT IN THIS DARK WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY (FULL OF FAKE LOVE & PEOPLE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF US), WE NEED MORE TRUE LOVE than WE DO MORE RULES!!! (CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT WHAT THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE IS).   IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TRUE LOVE IS!!! THAT IS COMMON!!! TRY JESUS – READ THE RED WORDS, FIND HIS LOVE, AND HOLD ON TO IT WITH ALL YOU’VE GOT, BECAUSE IT’S THE BEST THING ‘SELLING’ (FOR FREE) OUT ON THE MARKET. THIS ‘STUFF’ SHOULD BE FLYING OFF THE SHELVES, BUT ITS NOT, BECAUSE OF DEAD BEAT CHRISTIANS LIKE US!!! FOLKS, PEOPLE ARE TOO BUSY, TOO WRAPPED UP IN THEMSELVES, TOO DEPRESSED, TOO ANGRY, TOO LOST FOR LOVE to EVER GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED!!! AND THAT IS THE TRUTH… that is HOW I KNOW WE ARE NEARING THE END TIMES:

2 Timothy 3:1-7
"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness BUT DENYING ITS POWERS (click HERE). Have nothing to do with them." "They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth."

Mark 16:14-19 (The Great Commission)
"Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their LACK OF FAITH and their stubborn REFUSAL TO BELIEVE those who had seen him after he had risen. He (Jesus) said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these SIGNS will accompany those who believe; In my name (Jesus) they will drive out demons; they will speak new tongues (a new language – which I am speaking a new language right now vs. the language I was speaking just a year ago); they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will be healed." (says nothing about being a DOCTOR, but it does say you have to be a BELIEVER!!!)

Folks, when I believed the verse above, GOD CHANGED MY LIFE and ended a 17+ year drug addiction that was going to kill me. I prayed 2 nights for any and all evil to leave my body and my home (In Jesus Name), and within the following week, my addiction was gone and so was depression, fear...
 

8.    Suggestive Selling – Speak the name of JESUS, every chance you get to say the name of Jesus!!! Make the name of Jesus drip off of your tonge like this: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus… Then take the time to highlight in RED the word JESUS!!! There’s no other name like Jesus’… Jesus… Jesus… try it… you’ll like it… Jesus… Jesus…Jesus… there you go… don’t stop… Jesus… Jesus… Jesus… you can do it… Jesus… don’t be afraid… it won’t kill you (not in America)… Jesus… Jesus… THANK YOU JESUS! PRAISE YOUR HOLY NAME – JESUS!!!  If you need to REPENT, then you don’t need a priest or preacher, YOU NEED JESUS!!!  HE IS STANDING BY!!! 24 HOURS/DAY!!! DO NOT WAIT!!!  JUST PICK UP YOUR HEAD, THE CALL IS FREE, PLAY IT SAFE!!! (Oh, sue me for using Safe Auto’s jingle – SUE ME!!! What I have is in my heart can’t be snatched away from ME!!!!!) THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Luke 9:26-27 (Jesus said) “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man (Jesus) will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. I tell you the TRUTH, some of who are standing here will NOT taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”

Go sell HEAVEN for FREE!!! God is having an OPEN HOUSE (24 hours/day). Clean your house up first (but not too much – you want the buyers to know your house is LIVED in). Make your house smell good first, bake some apple pie and give to those that need it most (the lost) - (probably your next door neighbor). When the buyer (the lost) walks in your home (your path) show them LOVE & GOD’S AMAZING GRACE like they’ve never seen it before! Put pictures of JESUS all over your house, they might trust you – if you’re not wearing a tie!

Did you drink Pop yesterday? Did you pray for your preacher?

Enjoy the videos below! But first, I need to tell you what Heaven smells like. I debated this question for almost a year now. I knew Heaven smelled like our prayers. Revelations 8:3-4. The question that bothered me the most was this: If Heaven smells like our prayers, then can my mom smell my specific prayer, because smells are different and our prayers are individually specific too. My conclusion (after a year of thought and meditation). No, my mom probably doesn’t smell my specific prayers. Why? Because our prayers are delivered by The Holy Spirit directly to the Throne Room of God, and the Holy Spirit prays for us as well. So, Heaven probably smells like the prayers of the Holy Spirit only. Our prayers would NOT be able to travel 10 feet without The Holy Spirit’s help, so, again whatever the Holy Spirit’s prayers smell like is probably what Heaven smells like… which is my next question (what does the Holy Spirit’s prayers smell like – does His prayers have different smells?)… and again I’m off on another adventure! I’m excited to find out! See? a disability like OCD can come in handy, if we are willing to let God use it to His advantage!

Now… Go SELL some FREE mansions in Heaven!!! Go SELL JESUS!!! Mark 16:14-19. Don’t make me (and God) come ‘hit’ you where the GOOD LORD split you!!!
