I’ve literally traveled many miles this past week, moving from Ohio to Florida.

Throughout my life, I’ve traveled many winding roads (full of turns, pot-holes, ups, downs... through hills, valleys... and yes, full of blessings).

One thing is certain.

One could spend their day counting all of life’s problems.

Or One could count their blessings (naming them One by One).

Today, I choose to count the blessings.

Today, I choose to count on The One who made all things.

Today, I thank, praise, and worship The One and Only God Almighty.

Today, I am joyful.

Most of us older folks remember the song: ‘One is the Loneliest Number’ sung by Three Dog Night (written by Paul McCartney). I assure you this: ONE God is refreshing to me.

As I sat (in awe) on the beach, watching my first breath-taking sunrise (with God) by the crashing waves, and as I opened my Bible to another 'random' place, God spoke to my heart through Psalms 16 (please read this One chapter).

I could have titled this inspiration ‘Psalms by the Palms’, but God delivered an important truth. As I sat there missing my friends from Ohio, I understood that we worship the same God. One God. God is the same (today, yesterday, and tomorrow). One God. The God who created all things. One God. I serve One God. I worship One God. I love One God. One God. How refreshing it is to know that One day, we (as Christians) will see our One God face-to-face. Together forever and ever, Amen.

As wonderful as this revelation was, when I arrived on the beach that special morning, I was a bit fearful, because I arrived in the dark, and I needed to walk along a path (full of tall weeds on both sides). I didn’t want to be eaten by an alligator or bitten by a snake (and my One God kept me safe).

Life can be fearful at times, yet we have nothing to fear, not when we have The One and Only God loving us as He truly does. As I stepped beyond the weeds and creatures, and as I stepped upon the beach, I noticed One set of foot prints in front of me, and I began to smile. One set of footprints (One God carrying me).

Start your journey of counting blessings (naming them One by One). Quit focusing on others, on weeds, on snakes, on the past, on the challenges ahead… and look forward to The One Who will set you free – free indeed (God's One and Only Son... Rise with Jesus Christ... 1-888-Need-Him).
