Does anyone ever eat the (year-old) wedding-cake top? Really? My wedding top was eaten the night of our wedding, because we KNEW the cake (in the freezer for a year) would be DISCUSTING.
Have you ever left Church with a bad taste in your mouth? I’m sure we ALL have - had our share of bad experiences at Church (Do you know my funeral-dinner story? If not, then click HERE). For many people, their ‘bad’ experiences turn into years of resentment, and they NEVER attend Church again.
For me, I know Jesus compares the Church to His bride: Ephesians 5:22-33 NIV, thus if I want to be a follower of Jesus Christ, then I should strive to love His bride 'The Church'. Jesus loves the Church with ‘agope’ love, which means He loves the Church as He loves Himself, and He would die for the Church. (He did die for the Church.)
I find it romantic that Jesus compares the Church to His bride. Jessica and I have been married for 13 years now. I KNOW my bride and I have had our ups and downs, but we agope-love each other, and we always stay together (which is another MIRACLE – thank you Jesus).
I do love The Church (especially the Churches that teach John 3:16, Romans 3:23-25, 6:23,
Ephesians 2:8-9.
One should never speak ill of another man's bride (especially the bride of Jesus Christ.)
God Bless!
In His Miraculous Hands (Thank you Jesus)
Agope Love, Glen
